Dr Edward Cox (Chiropractor)
At the age of 14 I was injured on a trampoline while I was training as a competitive springboard and platform diver. I dove up until my University years and we trained on trampolines to practice our aerial skills. It was quite a bad injury and it took me a long time to recover. My coach had recommended I see her chiropractor. My coach set up a meeting for my mother and I with her chiropractor to have a discussion. He explained everything very well to us both. I had an exam that day and had my first adjustment shortly after. It was great! I was really excited about getting my chiropractic care. The progress I made was amazing to say the least. I was back in the pool in no time. My mom was so impressed she became a patient. I was so impressed I became a chiropractor.
My Education
Following University at the University of Calgary, Canada I made my way down to sunny California to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose. I graduated in 1998 with honours. I really enjoyed my education at PCCW in particular Radiology and Differential Diagnosis.
At Greystones Chiropractic Clinic
I have been in practice now for 25 years and have been loving it ever since. I love being the guy able to make a difference in peoples lives, the guy that improves their quality of living. I understand what it is like to be a patient. I am a chiropractor today because I was a patient. I never forget that. I believe much of my success as a chiropractor is because I can put myself in my patient’s shoes. I believe in order to be a good communicator in this field you have to be forward and honest. If it is a problem that I can help you with I will do just that. If it is not a chiropractic problem I will help you get to where you need to be. Chiropractic has completely changed my life and I can’t imagine where I would be if I had not received that first adjustment.
Away from the Clinic
I am married to Laura and we have five lovely children who keep us busy. The whole family is very active with sports and dancing. Camogie, hurling, football and dance studios! When I can, I love to golf and in the winter snowboard and ski. I remain a chiropractic patient to this day to help me continue my level of activity. My entire family from my youngest daughter to my great aunt enjoy the benefits of chiropractic.
